Heroes, Heartthrobs, and Horrors

Project Description

In 1933, Eastern Color Printing in Waterbury produced the first modern format comic book, Funnies on Parade. The Connecticut Historical Society introduced a special exhibit on Connecticut’s important role in the development of the comic book. The “Heroes, Heartthrobs, and Horrors” Comic Book Exhibit experienced great success due to an effective marketing strategy consisting of outbound advertising, direct marketing, and collateral.
